Helpful information for planning your kelleys island visit

Transportation: The Kelleys Island Ferry provides regular service to the island departing from Marblehead, OH on an (at-least) hourly basis. The ferry ride is approximately 20 minutes. You may ride the ferry on foot, in your car, or with a bicycle. One-way fares are $10 for adults, $8.25 for seniors, $6.25 for children, $16.00 for automobiles, and $3.00 for bicycles. Parking is $10.00. On September 9, boats will run every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour, from 7:00am to 8:30pm.

If you decide to drive to the ferry and park your car to arrive on the island on foot, there are many convenient places on the island to rent golf carts or bicycles once you arrive. Individuals who RSVP to Mark's celebration can indicate if they need transportation to/from the picnic from the ferry dock, and we will provide rides or carpooling.

Lodging: While Mark's celebration will be a day trip, Kelleys Island is a wonderful place to spend a weekend, and everyone is welcome to make their own arrangements to stay overnight if they wish. Camping is available at Kelleys Island State Park, and there are B&Bs on the island as well. We HIGHLY SUGGEST you make reservations for either camping or B&Bs as early as possible, as the Kelleys Island Butterfly Festival will draw crowds to the island the weekend of Mark's celebration.
